STEM Librarian Haoyong Lan presented "Generative AI Prompt Engineering for Engineering Library Instruction" at the American Society for Engineering Education 2024 Annual Conference Engineering Libraries Division AI & Information Literacy Teaching Exchange.
Associate Dean for Research and Innovation Brian Mathews presented at the Science of Team Science 2024 Conference. His talk was titled “Leveraging Library Insights for Enhanced Team Science: An Emerging Service Model.”
Open Science Postdoctoral Associate Kristen Scotti presented at FORCE2024, the FORCE11 Annual Conference at UCLA, Los Angeles. Other team members include Open Science Program Director Melanie Gainey, Open Knowledge Librarian Emily Bongiovanni, Data Education Librarian Emma Slayton, and Chenyue Jiao.
In June, STEM Librarian Chasz Griego gave a presentation and published a paper at the 2024 ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition. His paper describes his first iteration of a summer course that introduces undergraduate students to research and reproducibility with Open Science tools.
Robotics Project Interim Lead Archivist Kathleen Donahoe and Community Collections Processing Archivist Crystal Johnson presented their poster “Context is Key: Crowdsourcing Communities to Improve Description” at ARCHIVES * RECORDS 2024 the 88th Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archivists in Chicago on August 15, 2024.
