Erin Higgins

Erin Higgins is a Postdoc in Evidence Synthesis. She completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and Master's in Rehabilitation Technology at the University of Pittsburgh. She then went on to complete her PhD in Human Centered Computing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her research has focused on utilizing makerspaces to increase equity in STEM education and access to assistive technologies as well as strategies to increase tech-transfer and knowledge translation from research to practice. She uses her expertise to instruct and support programs focused on Evidence Synthesis, Data and Code, Accessibility, Community Engagement, and AI in Research at CMU.
