Mary Kosinski

Mary KosinskiMary Kosinski (HNZ ’03; MCS ’03) is the Global Managing Director, Health and Life Sciences at FleishmanHillard, part of the Omnicom Public Relations Group. In this role, she leads the firm’s largest global sector, advising clients across biopharmaceuticals, health technology, and public policy on strategies that connect science, data, and communications in an increasingly complex global environment. Her work focuses on technology-enabled engagement and information management to advance public understanding of health innovation.

Before joining FleishmanHillard, Mary served as Head of Global Corporate Affairs at BeiGene (now Pi Health), where she built a global external affairs platform for a newly launched clinical research and health technology company. Prior to that, she was Deputy Vice President and Chief of Staff for Science and Regulatory Advocacy at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she led initiatives on gene therapies, digital health, and regulatory modernization in collaboration with FDA, NIH, and CMS. 

Mary began her public service career at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she served as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor at the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA). In that role, she directed strategic and financial oversight for vaccine and medical countermeasure programs, represented the United States in WHO, G8, and G20 global health security initiatives, and led policy development in pandemic preparedness and global health diplomacy. 

Mary holds B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Policy & Management and an M.S. in Healthcare Policy and Management, cum laude, from Carnegie Mellon University’s Mellon College of Science and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, where she also serves on the Heinz College Alumni Board.
