Haoyong Lan

Haoyong Lan is the faculty liaison librarian to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Machine Learning Department, CMU-Silicon Valley, CMU-Africa, and Office of International Education, where he provides library instruction, research assistance, data support, and collection development to the students, faculty, and staff. He received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include explainable artificial intelligence, engineering research competency, scientometrics, digital library, and information retrieval.
