On March 20th, 2020, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" was released, gaining millions of players across the world in its first year. During that time, Research Data Management Consultant Hannah Gunderman has not only played it in their personal life but has also used it in their work at the Libraries to help bring a fun, lighthearted element to teaching data concepts.
This month, Hannah’s Tartan Datascapes blog post celebrates the one-year anniversary of "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" by highlighting how the game has been used to promote learning data skills and data engagement at the Libraries, and what’s in store for the future.
