Using eBooks

Please note: eBook providers are not all the same. The information provided below is general and varies depending on our agreement with the provider.
Borrowing
  • borrowing periods vary
  • number of eBooks you can borrow at one time varies
  • some ebooks are single user only while some allow multiple users to access them; this is sometimes indicated in the Cameo record or in the eBook display
  • some eBook providers require that you create a personal account to borrow

Downloading
  • download up to 60 pages as PDF without checking out the book (some publishers have more restrictions)
  • some vendors allow you to download entire books using Adobe Digital Editions (free online)
  • some eBook providers require that you create a personal account to download
  • most eBooks are compatible with eReaders (Nook, iPad, Kindle, Sony eReaders, etc.)
